Welcome to the official website for Katka Kasadara 2009: an Education Expo for Canadian Tamil Community. A group of educators, community leaders and community organizations have come together to organize the first ever education expo for our community. This event will take place on Oct 30th and 31st at Milliken Mills High School. We invite you to check out the various sections of this website to get a fuller understanding of the purpose and scope of this event.

The Expo will be targeted to and designed for students as well as parents of students from Junior Kindergarten to Grade 12. It will utilize diverse methods to disseminate information on course selection, safe schools, ESL, special needs, university/college admissions, EQAO, opportunities in the education field, assessment and evaluation, services available through social services etc.  On the evening of Friday, Oct 30th, 2009, there will be a three hour program during which we will honour pioneers who have contributed to the field of Education for/in the Canadian Tamil community. The program also will feature speeches from educational leaders and performances by great talents. The evening will be a celebration of Canadian Tamils' monumental success in education.

On Oct 31st, you will get an opportunity to attend workshops, seminars, displays, booths, lectures etc to gain a better understanding of various topics that relate to your or your child’s education.
